About

In 2006, a group of friends and wine connoisseurs came together to purchase an old cherry orchard in the Eola-Amity Hills American Viticultural Area (AVA). The existing farmhouse was remodeled into a winery and 12 acres of vines were planted onto the land - that was the beginning of Rizzo Winery.

Today, the original founder of Rizzo Winery & Vineyard, Habib Matin, alongside partner Saiid Behboodi, with support from winemakers David Rizzo and Henry Morgan – “Team Rizzo” – are committed to continue producing the high quality wines our consumers have enjoyed over the past decade.

Rizzo Winery has recently expanded and added a new Tasting Room at our beautiful vineyard in Hopewell, where many of you have visited and tasted with us – a beautiful destination well worth the short drive from Portland.

Our mission is for our consumers to taste our award-winning wines while enjoying the breathtaking views of our vineyard. The interactions with our valued customers is perhaps one of the most cherished aspects of our business and we intend to continue this tradition for many years to come – especially during our frequent wine tasting events.

We are eternally grateful for the endless support of Team Rizzo and look forward to showcasing our hospitality and commitment to quality winemaking.
